Vacancies have arisen for Principal Engineers within Expro Connectors & Measurements, based in Ulverston, Cumbria.
The successful applicants will be responsible for providing technical direction, leadership and support to projects with minimal supervision.
The principal accountabilities are:
To co-ordinate the activities of technical personnel engaged in new product development through leadership and delegation of tasks.
Prioritising development activities in accordance with the Company business plan to produce solutions that meet the requirements within reasonable development timescales.
To ensure that the design control processes are followed by all members of the new product development team to ensure products are reliable and fit for purpose.
Investigating new technologies and processes, and identification of new materials for product development or enhancement.
To conduct Staff Development Reviews for employees reporting to this position.
To represent the Company in technical meetings on site, at client or supplier premises and exhibitions etc.
To ensure all duties are performed in compliance with Company procedures for quality, health and safety and the environment.
The essential skills required are:-
Minimum degree, with a sound engineering knowledge and 5 years experience.
Ability to communicate clearly at all levels.
Ability to interpret a broad range of technical requirements in to design criteria.
Ability to lead individuals through setting clear objectives, monitoring performance and communicating improvements.
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing techniques and applications.
