Following a strategic review and strong demand for our products and services, a vacancy has arisen for a full time Product Manager - Controls based at our Subsea Excellence Centre in Ulverston.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the overall purpose of the job holder is to be the focus for the profitable introduction and delivery of the Controls product range. The successful applicant will be responsible for driving and measuring business development opportunities in order to develop future sales strategies. The job holder will be required to provide technical and commercial support to Clients and internal customers ensuring appropriate technical solutions are developed and optimal service quality is provided to meet customer’s requirements.
The principal accountabilities of the role are:
To maintain a mutually beneficial long-term relationship between the customer and Expro C&M and actively pursue Oil and Gas development opportunities in conjunction with Business Development to ensure that Expro C&M maintains a favourable image as a supplier.
To identify opportunities for new business and develop appropriate sales strategies.
Provide first line specialist and technical liaison between the customer and Expro C&M.
The preparation of tenders and associated commercial evaluations.
To ensure the efficient flow of information within the organisation to ensure customers purchase orders are met.
Supervision and development of Controls Account Teams to ensure customer satisfaction at all times.
To promote the Controls product range through Client visits, exhibitions and high levels of customer service.
To accurately report on Client activity for sales forecasting.
The essential skills required are:
Business awareness and excellent understanding of cost of selling, pricing and market share implications.
Excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
To be self-motivated, committed and a flexible team player with excellent negotiation and customer service skills.
A good technical understanding of the Tronic product lines, function, specification and application with the ability to communicate technical issues.
To have sound business awareness of the commercial and oil industry.
