Location: Great Yarmouth

Vacancies have arisen within the Surface & Environmental Department in Great Yarmouth for Welltest Technicians, reporting to the Operations Manager - S&E.

The purpose of the job is to organise equipment in all aspects of the "on site" operations in accordance with the clients agreed programme and contractual requirements, delivering high quality, safe and efficient operations in an offshore environment.

The principal accountabilities of the position are to:

1. Maintain a safe area of work, promote safe working practices and aim for an accident and incident free environment. 
2. Attend regular safety meetings prior to and during operations.
3. Ensure procedures have been followed to avoid accidents, damage to equipment, loss of test data and harm to the environment.
4. Ensure customer requirements have been followed, maintaining a good company profile.
5. Collect data, accurately and present professionally, to achieve a high quality report for the Client.
6. Assist with other Expro Group Services as required.
7. Report any hazardous defects in plant, equipment and workplace, or shortcomings in the existing controls, to a responsible person without delay.
8. Carry out Risk Assessments for any equipment or tasks not presently covered in the Expro Risk Assessment Manual.
9. To work in accordance with information and training provided.
10. To communicate to Line Supervisors/Managers any concerns, suggestions, ideas and improvements.
11. Assist in the base, creating reports, packing kits etc, when required.
12. To successfully operate and to have sufficient working knowledge of Welltest equipment that you are required to use.
13. To pack and load out equipment in a correct and efficient manner.
14. To ensure equipment is rigged up, pressure tested, function tested and ESD system thoroughly function tested prior to operations commencing.
15. Compile end of job report to required standard in a timely and efficient manner.
16. To train other Welltest Technicians in specific areas of your expertise as required.
17. To be available for overseas work when required.
18. To be available for work at short notice when required.

The successful candidate will also meet the following criteria:

• Mechanical background preferred
• Previous experience of Welltest equipment, DAQ and work environment preferred in order to fill a Technician’s role
• Self motivated and career minded.
