A vacancy has arisen within the Surface & Environmental department in Great Yarmouth for a Field Supervisor reporting to the Operations Manager - S&E.
The purpose of the job is to oversee and organise the equipment and personnel in all aspects of the "on site" operations in accordance with the clients agreed programme and contractual requirements, both safely and efficiently.
The principal accountabilities of the position are to:
Maintain a safe area of work, promote safe working practices and aim for an accident and incident free environment. Conduct regular safety meetings prior to and during operations.
Ensure procedures have been followed to avoid accidents, damage to equipment, loss of test data and harm to the environment.
Successfully operate and to have sufficient working knowledge of the WT equipment that you are required to use.
Be able to pack and load out in a correct and efficient manner.
Ensure customer requirements have been met in full, maintaining a good company profile.
Ensure data is collected accurately and presented professionally to achieve a high quality report for the client.
Remain fully informed on software changes, tool upgrades and recent operational problems.
Assist in the base, creating reports, packing kits, etc, when required.
Be available to stand in for the Operations Supervisors, go overseas or work at short notice when required.
Ensure equipment is rigged up, pressure tested, function tested, ESD System thoroughly function tested prior to operations commencing.
Comply fully with Expro Quality Procedures for equipment and personnel feedback.
Ensure that risk assessments are performed for any equipment or tasks not presently covered in the Expro Risk Assessment Manual.
Liaise with Operations Supervisor to ensure he is fully informed about offshore operations.
Compile end of job report, to include problem areas, which support Expro's continuous improvement through Excellence in Operations.
Complete on job appraisals for staff and provide on site training, where possible for junior staff.
Report any hazardous defects in plant, equipment and workplace, or shortcomings in the existing controls, to a responsible person without delay.
