Well Test Operations Engineer

Location: Stavanger

A vacancy has arisen within the Operations department in Tananger for a Well Test Operations Engineer reporting to the Principle Technical Professional.

The purpose of the job is to provide Engineering support for well testing and subsea operations for all Norway Activities. To provides job design support, well operations technical support, and post job analysis to customers. To develop and maintain personal relationships with the technical customer base. To provide technical support on location as required by the customer or internal service line.

The principal accountabilities of the position are:

To prepare technical specifications and technical drawings of each operation.
To carry out engineering design / calculations for operational and project requirements.
To provide technical knowledge and know-how of equipment providing solutions to client problems.
To provide technical support to on-going operations.
Applications engineering.
To prepare and assist the projects, acting as technical co-ordinator with operations procedures.
To give technical input and project management support of new builds or upgrades of equipment.
To assist in the up keep of the technical library and equipment documentation for Norway.
To provide technical sales and operational support at client meetings.
To liaise with clients to keep abreast of requirements for projects.
To actively support and review local technical procedures for all surface and subsea equipment.
Required to assist in the compilation and quality checks of well reports issued to the customer.
To have an active role in improvements to business processes and quality system.
To ensure compliancy with all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental processes in the offices and workshop.
To take reasonable care to prevent harm to themselves and consider the potential harm to others or the environment that may be caused by acts or omissions.
To refrain from intentionally misusing or recklessly interfering with anything that has been provided for Health, Safety and Environmental reasons.

The successful candidate will also meet the following criteria:

Engineering Professional with suitable qualifications.
Operational background 3-5 years as a minimum.
Good computing skills – use of MS and internal/external engineering software.
Self motivated.
Good communication skills.
Good listener and the ability to deal with confidential matters.
Well organised and able to work as part of a team.
