Location: Port Gentil

A vacancy has arisen within the Operations department in Gabon, for a Country Operations Manager reporting to the Area Manager.

The purpose of the job is to manage all aspects of Expro’s business in Gabon, in an efficient and safe manner. To focus on customer delivery, starting at the pre-job planning stage and ending on satisfactory close out of all points, from the post job evaluation meeting, and to assist in developing a profitable and sustainable business in the country.

The principle accountabilities of the position are:

  1. To ensure that all the necessary resources are available in a timely manner to safely and efficiently provide services to the client.
  2. Liaise with senior operational staff in country to ensure that the jobs are performed safely, with the correct equipment and as per procedure and planning.
  3. Maintain contact with the relevant staff during the job to ensure no shortfalls or lack of procedure.
  4. Liase closely with the Area Manager on operational issues effecting profitability, safety and overall Expro performance.
  5. Ensure adherence by all Expro personnel in Gabon, to Expro HSEQ policies and procedures.
  6. Ensure that equipment is available and fit for use at all times by supervision of the base maintenance programme.
  7. Interpret client's work programme and instruct service field personnel to carry out the specific programme correctly and competently.
  8. Advise client on potential equipment limitations with respect to the requirements of the Work programme. Organise and attend client daily meetings.
  9. Ensure that all operational and HSEQ reports relevant to operations are completed in a timely manner and forwarded to management accordingly.
  10. Ensure that all relevant paperwork is approved and available to allow prompt end of month invoicing to the client.

The successful candidate should also meet the following criteria:

  1. Comprehensive knowledge of Expro’s safety, QA and operational procedures, Group products and services.
  2. Computer literacy.
  3. Basic P&L, Budgetary Preparation and Administration.
  4. Excellent communication skills, able to motivate personnel and provide a team working environment.
  5. Engineering knowledge to City and Guilds equivalent level.
  6. Previous supervisory skills.
