Location: Houston

A vacancy has arisen in Houston, TX for a Credit Collections Analyst within our Finance Department reporting to the Credit Collections Manager.

The primary function of the Credit & Collections Analyst is to monitor the accounts receivable and implement processes to ensure collectability.

The principal accountabilities of the job are:

  • Monitor cash receipts, review credit and set up new customers daily.
  • Evaluate credit applications using Experian, NACM, financial statement analyst and assign appropriate credit limits.
  • Review A/R reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures and provide relevant reporting.
  • Review delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to account.
  • Assist with internal and/or external reviews/audits of the A/R portfolio and provide necessary reporting and documentation for collection related adjustment.
  • Work with contracts/legal department to resolve delinquent accounts or submit to outside agency for collection.

The successful applicant should also meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in collections required.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive work ethic.
  • Self starter mentality.
