Location: Houston
A vacancy has arisen in Houston, TX for a Credit Collections Analyst within our Finance Department reporting to the Credit Collections Manager.
The primary function of the Credit & Collections Analyst is to monitor the accounts receivable and implement processes to ensure collectability.
The principal accountabilities of the job are:
- Monitor cash receipts, review credit and set up new customers daily.
- Evaluate credit applications using Experian, NACM, financial statement analyst and assign appropriate credit limits.
- Review A/R reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures and provide relevant reporting.
- Review delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to account.
- Assist with internal and/or external reviews/audits of the A/R portfolio and provide necessary reporting and documentation for collection related adjustment.
- Work with contracts/legal department to resolve delinquent accounts or submit to outside agency for collection.
The successful applicant should also meet the following criteria:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in collections required.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office.
- Proactive work ethic.
- Self starter mentality.
