Onshore Operations Supervisor

Location: Aberdeen

A vacancy has arisen within the Welltest department in Aberdeen for an onshore Operations Supervisor reporting to the UK Operations Manager - S&E.

The principal accountabilities of the position are:

To ensure all pre-job planning is completed to Client/Expro QMS requirements, including Q-HSE.
To liaise with Senior Field Personnel to ensure they are aware of Job/Client requirements.
To maintain contact with Client/Drilling/Other Service Companies/Third Party Companies with relation to planning and operations, including attendance at weekly/monthly planning meetings and providing client support at morning calls to rig.
To select Field Personnel suitable for required operations and monitor progress. Provide day to day supervision of Operational Personnel (Point of contact).
To assist in recruitment of new personnel.
Participate in the Welltest department On Call rota.
Assist in the control (minimise) of direct costs to maximise margins.
Provide technical support both internally and externally.
Liaise with other regions relating to operations matters.
To ensure Operations Manager is kept informed of operational matters as required.
Participate in the chairing of Department Safety Meetings.
Assist in the selection of Staff for relevant training courses.
Perform annual appraisals on Offshore Staff. Required for Staff progression.
Work closely with Purchasing Department for Operational requirements.
Work closely with Maintenance Department for equipment selection/availability issues.
Work in accordance with information and training provided.
Report any hazardous defects in plant, equipment and workplace, or shortcomings in the existing controls, to a responsible person without delay.
Participate in the Excellence in Operations programme, focused on Safety, Customer Care and Quality Service.
