Location: Aberdeen

A vacancy has arisen within the Well Services department in Aberdeen for a Senior Production Technologist reporting to the Region Manager - Well Services.

The purpose of the job is to provide Production Technology support to Expro Well Services Operations and external clients. It is also to enhance the reputation, and extend the capability of Expro through the delivery of high quality Well Technology studies and projects.

The principal accountabilities of the position are:

1. To ensure client expectations on allocated Well Technology projects are consistently met or exceeded.
2. To liaise with the Well Technology Team leader to deliver study or project proposals whilst identifying the clients technical, presentation, cost and timescale expectations.
3. To perform these projects in accordance with the Expro Well Services HSEQC policies and procedures at all times, and to review the safety implications of any recommendations arising.
4. To assist and contribute technical advice to other Well Technology Group projects.
5. To identify, monitor and assess novel well technologies, research and changes to operating practices, and to share this information throughout the client base.
6. To assist the Well Technology Team leader with their roles and responsibilities, and to provide peer support and mentoring of junior staff.
7. To identify and propose new business opportunities and strategies both for the Well Technology group and Expro Well Services as a whole.
8. To identify methods of developing and marketing the capabilities of the Well Technology team.
9. To identify, evaluate and recommend petro-technical software requirements.

The successful candidate will also meet the following criteria:

• Possess strong project and people management skills.
• Strong technical report writing skills.
• Possess relevant experience in Petroleum Engineering, Well Technology or a related discipline.
• Analytical and interpretative skills in Well intervention, workover and completion design, Well Performance Analysis and Tubing stress analysis would be advantageous.
