Location: Aberdeen
A vacancy has arisen within the Well Services department in Aberdeen for an Operations Well Engineer reporting to the Region Manager - Well Services.
The purpose of the job is to provide Well Engineering support to Expro Well Services Project Operations and external clients, by efficiently co-ordinating, controlling, programming and sourcing equipment for well operations and completion activities, to ensure that they comply with the client’s safety, quality and technical standards, whilst remaining within the planned programme time scale and budget.
The principal accountabilities of the position are:
- To ensure client expectations on allocated Well engineering projects are consistently met or exceeded.
- To ensure the effective planning and programme preparation and review of designated well operations.
- To identify, monitor and assess novel well engineering technologies research, and changes to operating practices, and to share this information throughout the organisation.
- To be accountable for the daily performance of all offshore personnel (both Expro Well Services and subcontractor) involved in well operations.
- To be accountable for accurate and timely reporting of performance against the agreed standards.
- To be accountable for the preparation and management approval of invoices for work carried out on assigned rigs.
- To organise and conduct post job meetings and prepare end of well reports.
- To assist with operations, contractor and internal quality and safety system audits.
- To identify, evaluate & recommend technical software requirements.
The successful candidate will also meet the following criteria:
- Relevant qualifications and supervisory experience in the Well Service Industry advantageous.
- Analytical and interpretative skills in Well intervention, workover and completion design would be beneficial.
- Technical awareness of Well operations.
- Strong project management skills.
