A Full time, permanent vacancy has arisen within the CHS Mechanical Operations department in Aberdeen for 2 Assistant Operations Supervisors reporting to the Operations Manager.
The purpose of the job is to supervise and manage all aspects of Expro’s Mechanical Cased Hole Services Department in the UK/Norway region. This includes ensuring all HSEQC policies, standards and procedures are complied with, whilst facilitating customer satisfaction, achieving budgeted figures.
The principal accountabilities of the position are:
- To ensure efficient systems are provided for effective liaison with the customers, to ensure a quality service is provided.
- To maintain good Expro/Customer relationships at all times.
- To manage and maintain active participation in improving the quality and HSEQ management system and bring to the attention of senior management any HSEQ issues that requires their attention and ensure all aspects of Expro’s Safety and Quality Management Systems are adhered to.
- To manage personnel: Appraise, motivate, train and develop staff to maintain an effective workforce capable of meeting its objectives, without harm to either personnel or the environment.
- To investigate poor performance issues and establish actions to demonstrate continuous improvement.
- To conduct disciplinary interviews for cases of misconduct and poor performance when necessary.
- To carry out competence assessments to comply with Expro’s Competence Assurance System and complete appraisals of onshore and offshore department personnel.
- To report to Manager on all HSEQC, Operations, Business, Equipment, Personnel and Invoicing issues.
- To assist with performance measurement and presentation of performance reviews to Customer.
- To participate and attend regular meetings to discuss operational base issues and share updates on latest company policies, structure, future plans, technologies and safety related topics.
- To ensure that all incidents are properly recorded and reported and that an investigation is carried out to establish and rectify root causes.
The successful candidate will also meet the following criteria:
- Practical and theoretical knowledge of Wireline operations
- General basic engineering knowledge
- Full understanding of HSEQC/Competence systems
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
