A vacancy has arisen within the Fluids Product Line for a Lab Study Coordinator reporting to the Senior Supervisor Compositional Analysis, based at FAC, Reading.
The purpose of the job is to carry out QA checks on all analytical data generated by the FAC remote operations prior to issue to Clients. The successful candidates will be required to co-ordinate the testing, calibration and maintenance of equipment used by the FAC satellite laboratories in analysis of reservoir fluids. He/ she will be required to commissioning of all equipment required to maintain and expand the FAC’s remote services capability.
The principal accountabilities of the position are:
Conduct QA checks on data from satellite laboratories to ensure quality and consistency of data.
Interpret the measured data by use of laboratory software packages and calculation methods; record all such calculations and methods of working in laboratory work files and prepare the results in a format suitable for presentation to Clients.
To follow administrative procedures and work instructions specified by laboratory management systems thus ensuring compliance with all laboratory accreditation.
Maintain GC equipment and conduct repairs in a timely fashion to maximise sample throughput.
Assist in the management of IT equipment in conjunction with Group IT and FAC Administrator.
Method development to improve capacity and service
To submit processed data and reports to clients in a timely fashion
Commissioning of new equipment to maintain and grow capabilities including equipment for offshore use.
Be aware of safety considerations at all times and bring any perceived safety issues to the attention of the Fluids Laboratory Manager (or nominee) without delay.
